This May our Circle Restaurant will team up the UK’s oldest working cinema, The Electric Birmingham for a unique evening of old Hollywood glamour.
As part of The Electric’s popular Film Food Club, this special event will run on two evenings – Sunday 12 & Monday 13 May 2013 celebrating the arrival of the brand-new stage production of High Society which plays at Birmingham Hippodrome Tuesday 14 – Saturday 18 May 2013.
The sophisticated evening of Hollywood glamour will begin with an overture of fine canapés and a glass of prosecco amongst the art-deco settings of The Electric Cinema followed by a screening of the classic 1956 MGM Musical film, High Society starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, and Frank Sinatra.
As the houselights of the plush cinema setting rise, guests will then be invited to head over to Birmingham Hippodrome’s Circle Restaurant for an A La Carte two course meal. The Circle Restaurant provides a theatrical setting for fine dining located within the main theatre building and just a stone’s throw away from the main auditorium.
Choice of main course includes a slow cooked blade of beef, free range chicken breast with casoulet of Toulouse sausage or a wild mushroom & spinach tian. The evening will conclude with a champagne themed dessert, plus a talk by Birmingham Hippodrome’s award winning Head Chef, Chris Bratt-Rose.
Tickets cost £38 for standard seats and £45 for The Electric’s exclusive sofa seats. Ticket price includes the exclusive film screening, canapés, two course meal and a glass of bubbly on arrival.
