A Wonderful Start to a WICKED Week…

The past couple of days have seen Birmingham Hippodrome awash with shades of green as tickets for the record-breaking West End and Broadway musical Wicked went on general sale to the public.

On Monday our website became positively emerald as online bookings opened to the public and audiences from across the West Midlands and beyond secured some of the best seats in the house for next summer’s blockbuster musical.

Yesterday, (Tuesday 11 June) was equally as busy as the phone lines and bookings at our box office front counter opened for the first time to enthusiastic bookers who can’t wait to see Birmingham turned green next year.

Michelle Bates from Oldbury was the person first to book tickets in person at the counter so we decided to say a big “Congratulotions!” with a bouquet of flowers with an Ozian touch. Michelle said “I’ve had the on sale date in my diary since the show was announced as coming to Birmingham.   I’m bringing my friend with me who is a huge fan of the show and I’ve just sent her a picture of the tickets I’ve just booked!  The flowers are such a lovely surprise and I can’t wait to see the show.”

Thanks to Michelle and all of you who have booked your tickets so far, we look forward to spending ‘one short day’ with you in 2014!

Wicked runs at Birmingham Hippodrome Wed 9 July – Sat 6 September 2014: for more info & tickets click here.
