We host our first-ever Tweet Seats!

Press & PR Assistant, Ben Wooldridge (@benwooldridge) writes…

In what is thought to be a first for a West Midlands theatre, we are very excited to announce that on the evening of Tuesday 28 October we will host our first ever ‘Tweet Seats’. Our selected ‘Tweeters’ will be bringing you live updates during the performance of Brazilian dance company, Grupo Corpo from a specially designated area of the auditorium – follow the updates as they happen with hashtag #BHgrupo!

Our invited Tweet Seat members will be sharing their immediate reactions as they see the show live in front of their eyes. The great thing about this idea is that spectators can share their thoughts as the show happens without having to wait until curtain down.

They will also be provided with light-limiting Tweet Seat Boxes to eliminate any light in the auditorium from mobile devices. Other than those invited and sat in the specific area of the auditorium, the remainder of the audience are asked to observe the standard theatre policy of strictly no use of mobile phones during the performance.
