Friends and guests have the time of their lives at Dirty Dancing workshop!

Forget about the recent cold spell, the heat was definitely turned up when members of the cast of the very popular musical Dirty  Dancing gave a one off special workshop for over 40 Friends, guests and dance students.

The workshop, which took place in one of the DanceXchange studios, was hosted by the show’s producer Karl Sydow who gave a short presentation before welcoming Glenn Wilkinson (Choreographer), and dancers Lisa Welham and Albey Brookes.

Glenn took the group through their paces dancing to familiar tunes from the production and bringing in some of the famous moves from this much loved show – including a few very brave lifts!   And,  to quote a line from the popular song,  they had the time of their lives !

The workshop comes just two months before the much anticipated welcome return of Dirty Dancing at Birmingham Hippodrome on 30 April.  So don’t put baby in the corner  book your tickets now! #BHDirtyDancing

Birmingham Hippodrome Friends enjoy tea with our panto stars!

Many of our supportive Hippodrome Friends enjoyed an afternoon of fun recently when stars of the spectacular pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk met up with them for tea and cake in our foyer area.

The cast signed programmes, posed for pictures and chatted to them about the show.

We had some great comments on Twitter:
